Butler getting points from a team which is untested and ineffective either home or away???

*See my report on Valpo vs. Detroit on 1.6.2012, then parlay Butler with Valpo today (next bet below).

Rotation:849-LOST
Sport:NCAAB
Pick:Valpo
Line:+1.5

Valpo finished 3rd in the nation last year in FG%…they’re at it again. Wr St.’s two scoring leaders are smallish gaurds (they are also main contibutors to the teams RPG) and will be overmatched by the taller and more talented gaurd combinations of the Crusaders.

Rotation:264-WON
Sport:NCAAF
Pick:Arkansas
Line:-7.5
Units:15

The Footall Gods are likely going to crush my bones for not having the proper amount of respect for HC Snyder, QB Klien and the overachieving Wildcats…but they are old school, their mission is an impossible one, and they’re going to get totally dusted. -7.5 is a great value. Kansas State is incredibly suspect with their PASS D, allowing a 63 percent completion rate, 24 passing touchdowns and a 267.3-yard average to rank 104th nationally and the Ark PASS OFF is going to be lights out today. Here is a little of what’s in store…

K St. PASS D

vs. Ok St. = 502 yds
vs. Baylor = 346 yds
vs. Oklahoma = 520 and 690 total
vs. T Tech = 461 and 580 total

Chances of them scoring first or winning SU = 00.0%…to quote Stevie Wonder…”The Writing is on the Wall.”

Pick:Valpo

Detriot’s bigs play like they are in mud up to their ankles, real lunch pail types. The Valpo bigs are the best in the Horizon Confrence and are the “real goods.” Lastly, the Valpo Crusaders rank #44 in FG% @ .477, and have a FT average of .721…add in the 6 pts. and this is the perfect equation; in fact, look for a SU win, so a ML wager is in order.

Rotation:551-LOST
Sport:NCAAB
Pick:IL-CHG
Line:+16.5
Units:15

Flames are considered a lowly rated second division team in the Horizon Confrence. However, they are under the radar and very much a “live dog.” They really know how to get it done on the road. Additionally, Clev St. is a low scoring outfit, #294 nationally. +16.5 is the mother-lode.

Nebraska RUSH D…uh, oh.

vs. Wiskey…231
vs. Wash…161
vs. Oh St…231
vs. NW…247
vs. Pn St…167
vs. Mch…238

Nebraska has really struggled against Top 10 teams. The Cornhuskers have lost 16 of their last 18 games against Top 10 teams. They also haven’t won a road game against a Top 10 team since beating Washington 27-14 on September 20, 1997. 11 of the losses have been by double digits, including 6 by at least 20 points.

Hard to believe the public still doesn’t believe Miami’s acheivements in the 2nd half of this season. We get another ATS “W” Pity their season comes to an end.

Did someone annoint the Saints as among the “invincibles” w/o telling the rest of us??? Am I seeing the spread correctly,….Carolina +9? All that’s needed to cover that # is a semblance of a running game and any 12 guys to line up defensively. It is going to be a most excellent 2012.

Rotation:237-WON
Sport:NCAAF
Pick:Texas A&M
Line:-10
Units:15

The Wildcats have struggled all season stopping teams with multiple big-play pass-catching threats…Senior cornerback Jordan Mabin won’t play in the bowl game after suffering a shoulder injury. The loss of Mabin hurts the Wildcats in several factors. Mabin ranks fifth on the team with 62 tackles and owns five pass deflections in 12 games.

A&M with a clear advantage in special teams.

NW #85 RUSH D allowing 4.6 ypc.
NW #96 PASS D/59.8%/8.4 yp catch

A&M is a genuine and honest to goodness offensive “strike force” and my notebook has them scoring on every single possesion.

Rotation:240-LOST
Sport:NCAAF
Pick:Ga Tech
Line:-2.5
Units:15

Washington held Utah to 17 yards rushing. USC held them to 81 yds.

GT ground game vs. top Defensive teams…
Ga Tech 243 yds rush vs Ga. #17/3.3 ypc
364 vs. Duke
243 vs. Va Tech/#19/3.3 ypc
383 vs. Clemson
134 vs. Miami
272 vs. Va./#34/3.7 ypc.
Additionally, they go long when they want to…WR Stephen Hill averages 30.2 yards a catch, most in the FBS. Nine of his 26 grabs went for at least 40 yards.

The Utes need to be concerned with K Coleman Petersen, who missed all three of his attempts in a three-point loss to Colorado in the regular-season finale. He has converted just six of his last 11 FG attempts.

Rotation:232-LOST
Sport:NCAAF
Pick:Iowa St.
Line:+1.5
Units:15

Rutgers has 20 TO’s last seven games. All special teams strongly in favor of Cyclones. Scarlet Knights yield huge yardage on the ground. ISU’s CB Johnson is a pure shutdown corner and takes away Knights most prolific OFF weapon in WR Sanu. This is the best play on the entire Bowl schedule and the NCAAF play of the year.

Can Valpo hit their FT’s down the stretch??? ABSOLUTELY! Valpo has the leagues two top bigmen and Milwaukee is without a strategy or the personell to counter them.

Pick:Pepperdine

Take the home team, the better defense and the 2 points against an unproven opponent in the Dons.
